Wow, we just got home last night from a whirlwind Thanksgiving week involving traveling over 2000 miles back and forth through four states over 8 days. Then there was the tow truck… but also a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner with our good friends. I recovered from it all this morning by taking a 2-1/2 hour nap. So yea. Physically I am now doing much better, lol.
Emotionally I’m also going to be OK. :-) This time I won’t really be needing the pointers in my own article, Easing Your Transition When Your Child Goes Back to College After Break, because thankfully there are only two weeks until they come home for Christmas! Woot!
Speaking of Christmas, I want to tell you about one family Christmas tradition that ends up providing fun for the entire year. We skipped it last year – and we regretted it. So this year it will again be part of our holiday celebration.
What is it, you ask? What tradition could possibly supply warm fuzzies all year long? (In fact, if you count the memories we make, it really will give joy for, well, forever!) Um, I really do hate to do this – but you’re going to have to click over to The Multi Taskin’ Mom to find out what it is. I’m posting over there today on Our Favorite Fun Frugal Family Christmas Present.
This is something every family can do, whether you have young children or teens or a mix of both. You might just find a new idea for your own family Christmas! So head on over to The Multi Taskin’ Mom; then come back here and let me know what you think. :-)
Shared on Thrifty Thursday and Featured the following week! :-)

We have chosen to do an experience this year, too. It’s a bit different than your idea, but I think it will be enjoyed by all :) Have a wonderful Christmas!
Thanks, Amanda! You, too!! And thanks for stopping by! :-)
