Today is a special day in my life. The Man and I have been married for 26 years as of today. It’s true that the 26th anniversary isn’t given status as one of the biggie milestones, but I’m still feeling pretty excited, y’all.
I’ll be the first to admit that it’s been a wild ride, full of things I never could have anticipated or expected. I look at newlyweds, and I’m a little jealous of their enthusiasm and undiminished joy in one another. BUT there is a really neat solidity at this end of things, a certainty of commitment, a settled “I’m sticking with you and you’re sticking with me, ‘cuz we’ve been through too much to turn back now” feeling that is worth a WHOLE lot. And it actually makes the warm fuzzies even fuzzier, if you can believe that. (Granted, they probably don’t happen as often at our advanced age, but that’s a topic for another day, lol…)
Today I’m sharing over on The Multi Taskin’ Mom how we got this far. I’m giving my BEST marriage advice, the one thing I would tell anyone who wants to change things for the better at any time in their marriage. This one piece of advice has the potential to make a huge difference in the tone of a marriage — especially for the wife. I know how women think, seeing as I am one, lol… and in the article I address one of the key thought processes we women have, and how to fix it.
So join me at The Multi Taskin’ Mom for My Best Marriage Advice for Women. I’m pretty excited about this article, y’all — and I would hate for you to miss it! :-)
