Well, it has been a great week of stocking stuffer madness!! Today is our last day of this series, but it’s going to be the funnest (my word, thank you very much), because today we are talking stocking stuffer ideas that are suitable for every kid everywhere. Use this list to find things to round out your kid’s stocking or when you need to buy for multiple children and want to do it easily and cheaply.

Just to recap, so far we’ve done:
Day 1: Girls
Day 2: Boys
Day 3: Teens
Day 4: Educational
If you missed any of those, feel free to go back and take a look!
And now let’s get going to the list of stocking stuffer ideas for EVERYONE!
1) Candy — Um, of course. You can buy a big bag of “fun size” and distribute them, or you can buy the long packages for $1 that have about 5 bars in them, or you can just buy individual candy bars… we always get some Dum-dums, too, and some Starbursts… OF COURSE I believe in living a healthy lifestyle, so we don’t go overboard with this, but you gotta admit that candy is just FUN and the kids will love getting some.
2) Nutella — They ALL love this stuff and it’s too expensive to buy regularly. But one of those little jars in the stocking? Oh yea, baby; they will love you forever.
3) Playing Cards — We always run out of these, or the dog eats them, or whatever — so getting each kid a new deck each year is almost a tradition.
4) Silly String — And then we have a Silly String battle later in the day. Woot! (Didn’t I tell you this list would be the funnest??)
5) A box of their favorite cereal — Or even buy a package of those little cereal boxes and divvy them up between all the kids. Again, this is the exception to our diet, not the rule, and there’s just something about having your OWN box of cereal that you don’t have to share.
6) Harmonica or Kazoo — So they can make noise the rest of the day. But seriously, a harmonica is a legit musical instrument and can help your child develop great lung capacity. A kazoo isn’t… so it depends on how serious you want to be…
7) A slinky — These get bent within weeks every year… which is why they make great stocking stuffers, since you pretty much always need a new one. But while they last they are super fun!
8) Silly Putty — Another tried-and-true, oldie but goodie. You can show your kids how to transfer a comic from the paper, and all those other “silly” tricks we used to do with this stuff. Too young for the teens? Don’t you believe it!
9) Gift card to their favorite fast food joint — These days you may have to get one for more than $5 just so they can get a meal. Sigh. But it’s still something that kids will love to find in their stocking! (Many of these have to do with food… I must be hungry…)
10) A Yoyo — Yes, I’m stuck on these old-fashioned toys! First, because they are still reasonably priced; and second, because they make for creative fun! Learning to do tricks with a yoyo teaches hand-eye coordination and diligence, among other things.
So now we are ready to fill. those. stockings!! I hope you have found some stocking stuffer ideas that you can use! We leave our stockings empty until Christmas Eve after the kids are in bed. It gives the illusion of something mysterious happening in the middle of the night… We never pretended to be Santa, or anything; but it is still fun to sneak out to the living room with all the goodies while everyone is sleeping. When do you fill stockings for your family?
