2015 in Review: My Top Ten Most Popular Posts

Wow, last year at this time I only had about 18 posts to my name, so sharing the top ten would have been silly.  Well, NOT. ANY. MORE!  I feel like I've arrived, or something!!  And do you not LOVE the saying on the main image?  I confess I just could not resist it.  Maybe because there are many areas in which I struggle to be well-behaved, lol — and my blog posts sometimes reflect that.  Like #4, below… *cheeky grin*

Annie and Everything is truly about "any and everything," as this top ten list shows! There is something for everyone, from frugality to homeschooling to recipes. There is also a surprise or two -- so check it out!It has been a WONDERFUL year.  I have learned so much — and not just about blogging.  But I will say that blogging has turned into something that I don't see myself doing without now.  If you are on the fence about it, read Anyone Can Make Money Blogging and see what you think.  Maybe the New Year would be a good time to start a new venture!

Let me also say that the fact that I enjoy what I do is mainly because of you, my wonderful readers.  I love reading your comments on posts, receiving your emails, and generally gearing everything I do around what will help and encourage you the most.  Thanks for your interest and your faithfulness!  You're the best! :-)

So let's see what posts you liked the most during the year 2015.  Some of them are surprising, especially the top one.  That one took off over the summer in a way that I did not expect, and it is still usually the one with the most traffic every day.  Who'da thunk?

(Like every good Top Ten list, I'm going to start at #10 and work up.)

Anyone thinking about downsizing needs to browse these thought-provoking articles full of tips and advice from people who have been there.#10 Ann-Notated: What Others Say About Downsizing — I am so glad that my Ann-Notated's, which are collections of articles about a given topic, meet a need for people.  And downsizing is something a lot of y'all are thinking about.  One of the articles is about a gal in a tiny house — how fun is that?

Looking for a simple method for how to organize your life paperwork? I've been using a system for years that takes little effort, space, or thought! :-)

#9 How to Organize Your Life: A Simple Paper Filing System — I believe in making things easy.  (See tagline, above. :-) ) It seems that's what other people want, too.  Why make more work for ourselves than we really need?

What does it take to homeschool high school? Not as much as you think.#8 It's Not That Hard to Homeschool High School — If I could pick one post to be my banner post for the topic of homeschooling, this would be it.  It is my rallying cry.  We can do this, y'all!!  Don't be afraid or intimidated!!  Jump on in; the water's fine!!Ann-Notated Declutter

#7 Ann-Notated: How Others Declutter — This list is such a neat mix of everything I write about.  Decluttering is a hot button these days.  And when you can find an article that has all the best information about it gathered for you in one spot, what's not to like?

Wondering whether it will be worth it to homeschool high school? Here are 10 reasons why I think it is!#6 10 Reasons I'm Thankful to Homeschool High School — Because I really am, y'all.  The high school years have been the best of all the phases of parenting.  And I get to have my teens home with me through it all.  Lovin' that!!HomeStagingBeforeAfter

#5 Home Staging Before and After — This is a bit of a surprise.  I think lotsa people are concerned about the economy and are thinking about selling their homes.  Either that or they like pictures of furniture. :-)

Afraid to homeschool high school because your kids will miss out on great opportunities? Read about our own experience -- it may surprise you!#4 Opportunities My Teens Are Missing Because We Homeschool High School — This post is near and dear to my heart.  I love that it has resonated with so many people.

#3 High Protein Breakfast Smoothie — Gluten and Dairy Free, Protein Breakfast SmoothieLow Sugar — I am NOT a food blogger, so the fact that this is so high on the list kinda cracks me up.  It must be the “high protein” thing.  But, if I do say so myself, this is worth a look-see, because it's yummy AND good for you.  And did I mention yummy?

HighProteinBreakfastPancakes#2 High Protein Breakfast Idea: Cinnamon Protein Pancakes — And another recipe!  You know how I hate to cook!! LOL!! But that's why I make recipes that are EASY — which these pancakes are.  And they taste good and actually have a bunch of nutrition, too. My kids clamor for them. TRULY.

And, at long last, we come to the MOST POPULAR POST OF 2015 (and it has a HUGE margin over the others, so it'll probably stay there for quite some time — craziness!). *DRUM ROLL, PLEASE*  The Most Popular Post of 2015 iiiiisssss:

Wondering what to buy for your college freshman? The Annie and Everything college supply list recommends only what your student will REALLY need!#1 Our Recommended College Supply List: What Your Student Really Needs  — WHO WOULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS?  Not I!  But I'm thrilled nonetheless, because it comes from our own experience.  I polled my two (at the time) college girls to get the data for this one; and now that a third one also has some input, I'm going to make a Part Two later this year.  So stay tuned! :-)

So there you have it, the ten posts that were the most popular during the year 2015.  It's a great variety; there is never a dull moment here, y'all!

Thanks again for joining me on this great adventure!  I look forward to much more excitement in the coming year! :-) :-) HUGS!! <3

  1. I am really glad I found your blog this year. I get a happy feeling when I see a new post from you in my RSS feed. I’m looking forward to what you will share in 2016!

  2. Wow Bethany took the words right off my screen. Love your blog, and love it when it shows up in my inbox. I also love that I am not the only one homeschooling Highschool out there. It can be a lonely world, so glad you are here with me. ;P (in crazy fun wouldn’t trade in for the world, world)
I am going to pin from all 3 of those articles, I think more people need to be reading them.
    Thanks for all you do,
    Jen

    1. Thanks, Jen! I am so glad you’re here! Homeschooling high school was lonely for me for a long time, so it’s neat how doing the blog has helped me find a network of support and encouragement. Of which YOU are a vital part! Thanks for the pins! :-)

  3. I had no idea you only had 18 posts a year ago. I started following sometime in the spring and thought you’d been a blogger a lot longer than that! Love your high school posts!

    1. Thanks, Trena! I played at blogging in the fall of 2014 and got serious in January 2015. So things did look a lot better by the time you got here. :-) Thanks for being faithful!! :-)
