I am SO excited about the free printable weekly calendar planner I have to offer you today! I don’t know about you, but I never can seem to find a planner that is just exactly right. AND I always get sticker shock when I start looking for a new one. So I made my own! It is colorful and pretty (it matches my blog! :-) ) and USEFUL, and it can be printed out for however many weeks at a time as I want, perpetually. No more endless searching and making do with less than perfection! It has everything I need to plan each day of the week, all in one place. It makes my daily life easier — and you know that is what I am all about!! :-)
I couldn’t keep this beautiful thing all to myself, so I decided to share it with my loyal readers — that means you! :-)
The planner consists of two pages that can be three-hole punched to face each other in my binder. Monday through Wednesday are on the left side, and Thursday through Sunday are on the right. That means I can see the whole week at once!
I like this planner because it gives me plenty of space to write general goals for the week (or tasks that will run throughout the week), yet it also gives me specific places to record what I want/need to do each day. Also, all of the repetitive daily tasks that I still need help to remember to do (lol) — like exercise or laundry — are listed as well. It has a place to list appointments/activities that are scheduled for a certain time, and another place to write whatever unscheduled tasks I want to get done. AND there is a space for dinner menu planning. Woot!
I’ve got two versions: one for those who would like a place to record a weekly memory verse and check off your Bible and prayer times for the day (I call it the devotional version), and one without those things for those who don’t want them.

My long-term plan is to add to these pages and eventually design an entire color-coordinated planner that includes monthly calendars, household forms, and other helpful pages. How to use my weekly calendar planner:
The big yellow space at the top is for whatever you want to finish over the course of the entire week. Or you can jot notes to yourself for things you want to remember. Or directions to someplace you are headed. Or maybe the beginnings of a grocery list. I use it mostly for tasks that I know I want to get done sometime but have not planned a specific time for yet. If you download the devotional version, there are lines to write out a Bible verse that you want to see often and review or memorize over the week.
Each day has a list of times down the left side. This is a place to record all scheduled activities/appointments, so I have a big picture of where I need to be and when. Then I can plan how much and what to accomplish during the blank spaces in between. You may notice that only the numbers for the hours are present. That means that for each appointment, you can add the minutes yourself. If the appointment is at 11am, then there is no need to add anything; just write the appointment on the line next to the 11am slot. But if the appointment is at 11:15, then write “15” after the “11:” and then write where you’re going. If the activity is in the evening, I will write it at the bottom of this section, overwriting the 6pm slot. And I confess I hardly ever keep within the lines, lol — but usually appointments are not scheduled closely enough together for this to be a problem.
The To Do section has room for 6 tasks, with boxes to check as each item is completed. I find that trying to schedule more than 6 to-do tasks in one day is a recipe for frustration. This gives me a visual reminder to limit what I plan to do. If I need to push a task to the next day, then instead of a check I will write an arrow facing to the right over the box — and then re-write the task on the following day’s list (see pic). If it is something very important that must get done today, I will asterisk it.
Put the day’s date in the box after “Date.” The section underneath that is for checking off daily tasks that I (and maybe you, too? :-) ) can tend to let slide or forget. It’s a visual reminder that I WANT to do these things, giving me something to check off after I have done them. The numbers after “Water” are for the number of glasses I want to drink each day. After I drink the first glass, I check the number “1”, and so on. For the laundry, I have a place to check off two loads. When I start washing the first load, I check off the W (which then becomes a reminder to not leave it sit to get mildewy… yup). Once it’s in the dryer, I check off the D, and when it’s been folded, I can check off the F. And the space after the word “Dinner” is to write what I plan to serve that night. I tried to make it big enough that I can fit side dishes in there, too; but I usually just write the name of the main dish. (The “plain” planner will not show the “Bible” and “Prayer” tasks.)
