The Fourfold Method is four moves applied to science. Gather asks what is already known and where it came from. Test asks what you predict, why, and what result would prove you wrong. Connect finds the same principle in another unit, another science, and the world outside the lab. Commit is data, observations, and what you can honestly conclude, including what you cannot.
Recording an experiment that failed, and why you think it failed, is better science than recording only the ones that worked.
